Afmin – A Poetic Road Movie in Search of Love 
Directed by Jean Counet in 2004, Afmin is a 23-minute documentary that unfolds as a poetic road movie through Poland. The film follows Counet’s personal journey in search of a girl he once met—a figure he believes to embody the spirit of a nymph. This evocative exploration weaves themes of love, longing, and mythology into a visually stunning narrative.
Beginning at the Baltic Sea and traveling down to the Carpathian Mountains, Afmin captures the director’s quest for his elusive muse, blending the natural beauty of Poland with introspective storytelling. The film delves into the idea that catching even a glimpse of a nymph can leave one spellbound forever, creating an atmosphere of mystery and enchantment.
